Story & Process

This was a personal AI hardware prototype: a purse bag with a large LED matrix screen mounted on the front, connected to OpenClaw so it could interact with nearby people through voice.

The project explored what happens when an AI assistant becomes a physical object people can see, hear, and respond to in public space.

Concept

The bag acts like a wearable AI character. The LED screen provides visual expression, while OpenClaw handles the conversational layer. Users can speak to the bag, and the AI can respond through voice while the display shows animated pixel-art reactions.

What I Built

  • Mounted an LED matrix display onto a purse-style wearable form factor.
  • Connected the interaction layer to OpenClaw for AI voice conversation.
  • Built a pixel-style HTML animation renderer for LED display content.
  • Designed the prototype around public interaction: a visible AI face/object that can respond to people instead of staying hidden inside a phone or laptop.

Why It Matters

Most AI assistants are trapped in chat windows. This prototype tested a more embodied interface: AI as something people can approach, talk to, and understand visually through a simple LED surface.
